Low Alloy Structural Steel
1. Purpose
Mainly used in the manufacture of bridges, ships, vehicles, boilers, high-pressure vessels, oil and gas pipelines, large steel structures, etc.
2. Performance requirements
● High strength: generally its yield strength is above 300MPa.
● High toughness: the elongation is required to be 15% to 20%, and the impact toughness at room temperature is greater than 600kJ/m to 800kJ/m. For large welded components, high fracture toughness is also required.
● Good welding performance and cold forming performance.
● Low cold-brittle transition temperature.
● Good corrosion resistance.
3. Ingredient characteristics
● Low carbon: Due to the high requirements for toughness, weldability, and cold formability, the carbon content does not exceed 0.20%.
● Add manganese-based alloying elements.
● Adding auxiliary elements such as niobium, titanium, or vanadium: a small amount of niobium, titanium or vanadium forms fine carbides or carbonitrides in steel, which is beneficial to obtaining fine ferrite grains and improves the strength and toughness of steel.

Innovative Uses of Cold Rolled Steel Sheets in Building Design
Cold rolled steel sheets have long been a staple in the construction industry, known for their durability, strength, and versatility. In recent years, architects and designers have started to push the boundaries of traditional steel usage, discovering new and innovative ways to utilize cold rolled steel sheets in building design. From sleek and modern facades to intricate structural elements, the possibilities are endless when it comes to integrating cold rolled steel sheets into your next project.
What is the material of carbon steel plate and what are its advantages and disadvantages
It is a type of steel with a carbon content lower than 2.11% and without intentionally adding metallic elements, and can also be called plain carbon steel or carbon steel. In addition to carbon, it also contains a small amount of elements such as silicon, manganese, sulfur, and phosphorus inside. The higher the carbon content, the better the hardness and strength, but the lower the plasticity.
What is the main use of steel angle bar?
Steel angle bar, also known as angle iron bar or steel lintel is a versalle and widely used material in the construction and manufacturing industries. It is made from several types of steel.,and is avalable in different sizes and thicknesses to suit a wide range of applications.
I-Beam vs H-Beam: What İs the Difference?
H beams and I beams are two different types of structural steel members that are commonly used in construction. The distinguishing feature between them is their shape. An H beam is shaped like the letter “H” with one vertical flange and two long-side flanges, whereas an I beam has a cross-section that resembles the letter “I” with a single vertical web or web thickest at mid-span, two webs, and no bottom flange.
